DESCRIPTION
Decaffeinated Cafe Femenino Peru is a dark, complex decaf coffee with fine acidity, notes of bakers chocolate and a clean finish. Water process decaffeinated to preserve organic certification.
This Fair Trade and organic certified coffee is grown, processed and traded exclusively by women. The women then decide how to use the additional funds to better their lives and those of their children. Click here to read the full story of Cafe Femenino Peru.
Grounds for Change will donate 10 cents for each pound of Decaffeinated Cafe Femenino Peru sold directly back to this women's coffee growing project.
We know that you will enjoy this unique coffee for its wonderful taste as well as for the special story that underlies its production.
This coffee is Fair Trade Certified by IMO, Organic Certified by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and grown in shaded conditions by small farmer cooperatives. In addition, the complete carbon footprint (from crop to cup) for this coffee has been offset with tree planting, which qualifies it as a CarbonFree Certified product by CarbonFund.org.
All of our coffee is roasted to order and shipped fresh daily. We package in air-tight, foil-lined bags with one-way degassing valves to preserve freshness.
