DESCRIPTION
We have all watched in horror as the events in Japan have unfolded, and this coffee is a way for us to help donate to the relief effort as the rebuilding begins. For each bag of Japan Relief Blend sold, Grounds for Change will donate $2.00 to Mercy Corps, a non-profit relief organization that is working in the hardest-hit areas of the country to construct temporary shelters for the survivors and more. Japan Relief Blend is a medium-dark roast that is available in regular and decaf with notes of soft mocha and berry.

This coffee is Fair Trade Certified by IMO, Organic Certified by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and grown in shaded conditions by small farmer cooperatives. In addition, the complete carbon footprint (from crop to cup) for this coffee has been offset with tree planting, which qualifies it as a CarbonFree Certified product by CarbonFund.org.
All of our coffee is roasted to order and shipped fresh daily. We package in air-tight, foil-lined bags with one-way degassing valves to preserve freshness.
